GARTEX Marks Another Success Story, Plans Much Bigger in 2018

16,790 trade visitors thronged the hall to explore what over 100 exhibitors had floored on for them in the name of innovations in the world of garment & textile manufacturing arena 

2nd edition of Gartex concluded with much fan-fair, as expected, and ended on a very positive note. The show floor, spread over 65,000 sq ft, witnessed 16,790 trade buyers walking in, to explore the latest technological advancements trending in the garment & textile manufacturing industry, which were brought forward by around 100 national & international exhibitors at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, during 29–31 July, 2017.

Organised by MEX Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., the Show has proved its worth showing a window into the future, evincing its innovative power with a host of highlights. Going in line with the pace of the development in the country’s garment & textile manufacturing industry, the Expo emerged as a definitive gateway facilitating complete sourcing of the most modern garmenting technologies under one roof.

The Show aimed at displaying and promoting new technologies and state-of-the-art equipment, materials and services for over three days, facilitating a hub for the industry professionals to come, assemble under one roof, thereby providing them a major hub to promote, discuss, transact, partner and gain insights on the latest trends and emerging competition, besides bringing new business opportunities to the forefront as never before.

Eventually, all the three days of extreme hodgepodge witnessed innumerable business meetings encompassing closing the deals on the spot, availing unparalleled networking opportunities, interacting with the industry leaders, getting updated on the technology trends, renewing contacts, finding new partners, so on and so forth.

Be it local or international, existing or new company, Gartex provided exhibitors a platform that proved to be valuable in reaching their target audience comprising excellent quality visitors and valuable buyers who met their respective clients on personal level for effective marketing, launching & showcasing new products besides giving a snick peek of the future prospects.

Industry stakeholders from the areas like garmenting, fabric, embroidery, digital printing, sewing, cutting solutions, software and other allied products are very much satisfied with their participation. Exhibitors unanimously report concluding good business deals, promising contacts and an upbeat mood in this rapidly emerging potential sector, a fact that is expected to generate profitable follow-up businesses.

The exhibitors interacted with professionals from export houses, mill owners, sportswear manufacturers, fashion designers, home furnishing companies, domestic garment manufacturing companies, textile printing houses, etc. who thronged the venue from all over India representing 225 cities including Delhi-NCR, Panipat, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Indore, Agra, Ambala, Amritsar, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Surat, Mumbai, Lucknow, etc. for more than 150 brands/products, which were put on the anvil for them.

In terms of visitors, the quality of this trade fair is again underscored by the high percentage of top-corporate executives. Most of the visitors came from this decision-making level of their companies. Furthermore, a majority of visitors attended Gartex 2017 with concrete intentions to invest. At the same time, the proportion of overseas buyers from neighbouring countries including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore and Germany has also reportedly increased as compared to the last edition.

Quite a few brands of repute that made their presence felt at Gartex this year included Aura, Tukatech, Mehala, Siruba, Fucen, Tajima, Baba, Tang, Dayu, Unix, Jaysynth, Mimaki, Colorjet, Roland, Apsom Techhnologies, BriteJet, Daksh Enterprises, EFI-Reggiani, DCC Print Vision Llp., Epson India Pvt. Ltd., Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co., Shree Balaji Industries, Arrow Digital, Chemica, Stahls, Gehlot, Tukatech, Eternity, Madura Coats, Gyanchand, KMB Papers, Pashupati Overseas, and the like.

Many of the exhibitors & brands such as Colorjet, Tajima, Tang, Dayu, Unix, Aura, Mehala, Jaysynth, etc. used Gartex as the Launchpad to introduce their new technologies to their Indian customers. These apart, quite a few other exhibitors had put their latest direct-to-fabric printers’ on live demonstrations that attracted many serious buyers to get a glance of how improvement in technology is changing the fate of garment manufacturing in India.


Based on the feedback from both - visitors and exhibitors, organisers have decided to double the size for the next year show facilitating a further expanded floor space to accommodate around double the exhibitors count besides enhanced sections presenting an entire value-chain of garment and textile manufacturing solutions.
