Reliance Spinning Mills to showcase eco-friendly yarns at Intertextile Shanghai

Reliance Spinning Mills Ltd., has collaborated with Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd. from Aditya Birla Group to develop sustainable and eco-friendly yarns with Radianza fibre. These products will be showcased in Intertextile Shanghai 2019, which will be held on 25-27 September 2019.

Radianza is a ready-to-use dyed fibre fabricated using gel dying technology. This dyeing process uses very limited amount of water, energy, chemicals and dyestuff, thereby discharging very insignificant amount of unused dye into the effluent.

According to the 'Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study conducted by TAF, when compared to conventional dyeing, usage of Radianza fibre has 20 times less global warming potential, 7 times less blue water consumption and many other less harmful impacts on the environment. TAF has been able to develop many shades and colours of the fibre as per customer's requirements.

According to Akshay Golyan, Director of Reliance Spinning Mills, customers are now looking for new innovations that are eco-friendly and sustainable. Therefore, they have developed a new range of yarns with Radianza, which will be displayed in Intertextile Shanghai this year.

Together, both the companies have developed a full range of yarns for various end-uses like flat knitting, circular knitting and socks using various shades and deniers. They are confident that the customers will like their product and it will be a successful Intertextile for them.
