Uniqlo is ready to set up stores in India on their own

With talks of the brand making it to India, have been doing rounds for the last three-four years now, expectations were on a rise too regarding Uniqlo's entry to the Indian market. While earlier it was thought to enter through a partnership with Arvind brands. But the somehow didn't see the light of the day eventually. Nevertheless Uniqlo has decided to cut away from the prudent circumstances of its home market and the troubled US market and step up with business at other Asian zones. To begin with they opened their first store in Singapore last year September.

Following in toes with this exciting expansion plans, Japanese fast fashion brand Uniqlo is also supposedly entering the Indian market on its own and has initiated talks with mall developers in top cities to open its stores by next calendar year. Even though Uniqlo did not pass on any official statement to the press but their plans for expansion have been voiced out by many connected directly to the same.

With their global rival Heinz and Mauritz (H&M) speedily expanding all across the Indian soil in a fast pace, Uniqlo's entry will surely give rise to a lot of competition in the time to come. India allows 100% foreign direct investment in single brand retail and these brands are ensuring that they stand in the race to avail of the same in no time.
